The main website of the Ministry of Labour has useful fact sheets and guides to the Employment Standards Act (ESA), the laws that cover non-unionized workers in Ontario. You can also find the forms on the website to file an Employment Standards claim if your rights have been violated.
2.Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (www.wsib.on.ca)
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board’s (WSIB) services provide payment to workers who have had an injury or illness directly related to their working environment. Keep in mind that not all workplaces are covered under the WSIB.

This main website offers services and programs that are provided by the federal government, including Employment Insurance (EI) and other benefits like Maternity Leave. You can apply for and report on your EI claim here. You can also find information and help on a wide range of topics - education, employment and job search, income and legal assistance.
4.Citizen and Immigration Canada (CIC) (www.cic.gc.ca)
CIC provides information to newcomers, including applying for Canadian citizenship, health care, housing, and learning English or French. You can also find local branches of the CIC closer to where you live.
5.Settlement.Org (www.settlement.org)
A useful website for newcomers to Canada, with information on how to access public services. Settlement.Org is a handy tool that can be used to determine your employment qualification standards by checking your past international education and/or experience. Settlement.org also has sections that deal with sponsorship, housing, and finding job resources.
6.Ontario Human Rights Commission (www.ohrc.on.ca)
The Ontario’s Human Rights Code can be used to uphold your rights when reporting complaints against discrimination, harassment, and/or racism. This website has fact sheets available that provide information several relatable cases.

211Ontario provides access to over 60,000 community, social, health and related government programs and services within Ontario. You can also dial 211 on your phone to get a similar service.
